Auberle Earns Local and National Awards

Auberle has recently been recognized with a number of prestigious awards.

Mutual of America honored Auberle with the national Community Partnership Award. Representatives from Auberle were invited to Mutual of America’s headquarters in New York City this spring to receive the esteemed award, which recognized Auberle’s Employment Institute’s partnership with UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. This national award honors organizations for their outstanding contributions to society in partnership with public, private and other social sector organizations. This is the first time in 22 years that a Pittsburgh organization has received this award.

Congratulations Leaders
Auberle is proud to announce that two of our outstanding staff members and a member of our Pauline Auberle Foundation Board of Directors graduated programs through Leadership Pittsburgh, which are nine-month leadership development programs that connect for-profit and non-profit leaders into learning cohorts to develop regional leaders and help them build their personal networks. Congratulations to Tess Palmer, Housing Manager; Aimee Plowman (pictured above), Director of Young Adult Services; and Lydia Guthrie, Pauline Auberle Foundation Board Director.

Become a Foster Parent Today!

Family. Such a simple word that for many of us conjures warm thoughts, memories of growing up, and feelings of safety and comfort. We might take it for granted, not often thinking about the thousands of children who don’t have parents to look after them, or who have families that are unable to properly and safely care for them.

Auberle is Allegheny County’s go to agency for connecting children with foster families. Last year, Auberle was the largest non-kinship foster care agency in the county, responsible for 50 percent of teenagers and 25 percent of children overall.

Auberle’s goal is to provide safe and loving homes for children while equipping parents with life-improving resources to keep families together whenever possible.

Please consider becoming a foster parent. For more information, call Auberle at 412-673-5856 or click below.
